CamelBak

Being CamelBak’s first digital foray into Australia, we started from the ground up and gave the branding a refresh to make sure the look and feel would appeal to the Australian market. We didn’t just want to emphasise CamelBak’s product or customised bottles, we wanted the site to be an extension of the brand itself. Working closely with Camelbak, the new website’s visuals were developed to be future proof and to reflect what the brand had become.

Discovery

Being CamelBak’s first digital foray into Australia, we started from the ground up and gave the branding a refresh to make sure the look and feel would appeal to the Australian market. We didn’t just want to emphasise CamelBak’s product or customised bottles, we wanted the site to be an extension of the brand itself. Working closely with Camelbak, the new website’s visuals were developed to be future proof and to reflect what the brand had become.

Personal Appeal

During our workshop with CamelBak, we arrived at the conclusion that people would pick their bottles by colour and style. The bottles weren’t just a vessel to carry water, but a reflection on their lifestyle and in some cases who they wanted the world to see themselves as. Keeping these factors in mind, we designed the website to utilise these two attributes as the first step in getting people to customise their bottles.

Bottle Customiser

Our main priority was making sure that the bottle customisation was intuitive and gave users the best experience possible. We developed a tool that allowed users to pick colours, art, text and every facet of their water bottle. Easy to use but offering a range of choice was our mission statement as well as the outcome.

Outcome

The website was well received by CamelBak Australia as well as their international branches.
